It will surprise you. Dad needs you. Mom needs you. They have a terminal disease and need help. You get the call —it’s time to go home. The tough questions journalists ask, we now must answer. Do I break my contract? Can I affordto take care of Mom, Dad and myself? Does this end my career? Our members share their difficult stories of familycaregiving. You probably know them. But maybe not how much they’re hurting. Like all career journalists, they canhandle struggle. But this is different. They are just some of the 40 million across our country who have taken on the job of family caregiver. Join this plenary to learn how to prepare for your own family and to be inspired.
